Three adjacent waterfront properties in Port Royal sold for a combined $225 million.
Totaling about 15 acres with 800 feet of direct Gulf frontage, the sale of 2170, 2200 and 2340 Gordon Drive was brokered by Michael McCumber of The McCumber Group at Gulf Coast International Properties.
“Port Royal is undergoing a remarkable transformation, with the $100 million reconstruction of its private beach club driving a new era of luxury living,” McCumber said. “By closing this record-breaking deal, we’ve once again raised the bar.”
Local attorney Kevin Coleman, of Coleman Yovanovich Koester, serves as trustee on the undisclosed buyer’s side.

Attorney Mark Price, of Roetzel & Andress, served as legal counsel to the seller. The owner of the largest property, the 8,846-square-foot 11-bedroom, 16-bath 2200 Gordon Drive, is listed as Westbury Properties Inc., while the other two listed two different Bermuda-based companies as owners, property records show. The companies are linked to the DeGroote family.
Canadian billionaire businessman and philanthropist Michael DeGroote Sr. died in 2022.
Gulf Coast International Properties’ listing for the southernmost parcel, 2340 Gordon Drive, shows it was built in 1938 on 3.41 acres and includes a 6,000-square-foot five-bedroom, three-bath home.
The northernmost property, 2170 Gordon Drive, doesn’t have a residence on the 3.07-acre lot, according to the listing.
