Alfie Oakes plans Bonita Springs entertainment venue

Renderings show the proposed Oakes Landing entertainment venue in Bonita Springs. The project by Naples businessman Alfie Oakes would feature live music, dining, recreation areas and pools on a 12-acre site near Bonita Beach Road and Old 41.

Naples businessman Alfie Oakes is seeking approval for a new entertainment destination in Bonita Springs featuring live music, restaurants, bars, pools and family recreation areas on about 12 acres near Bonita Beach Road and Old 41. The proposed venue, called Oakes Landing, would include a stage for concerts and community events, food and beverage outlets, playgrounds, game areas, private cabanas and parking for more than 400 vehicles. A hearing before the city's Planning & Zoning Board was postponed after Oakes Farms requested a 60- to 90-day continuance. Supporters say the project would create a new attraction for residents and visitors, while nearby homeowners have raised concerns about traffic, noise and late-night concerts. Oakes also owns the popular Seed to Table grocery and entertainment destination in North Naples.
