St. Matthew’s House Board Chair Rick Fumo announced Ben Bridges has been appointed CEO of the faith-based nonprofit. Bridges, who began the role Oct. 1, joined St. Matthew’s House in 2023 as vice president of programs and previously served as executive director of The Salvation Army of Collier County. Bridges succeeds former CEO Steve Brooder, who will serve in an advisory role through 2025. For more than 37 years, St. Matthew’s House has provided food, shelter, addiction recovery and workforce development programs across Southwest Florida.
