Better Together received a $130,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation to support its Better Families and Better Jobs programs in Southwest Florida. The Naples-based nonprofit helps families facing crises by connecting parents with volunteer mentors, temporary child care and community resources to reduce the need for foster care. Its employment program provides job coaching, assistance overcoming barriers to employment and connections with employers through community job fairs. Founded in 2015, Better Together works with churches, businesses and volunteers to support families and help job seekers find employment across Florida.
