Cape Coral City Hall at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The city has expanded its automated permitting program to include residential fences and irrigation systems, allowing eligible projects to receive expedited approvals through its online portal.
Cape Coral expanded its automated push-button permitting program to include residential irrigation systems and fences, allowing property owners and contractors to obtain approvals faster. The city’s Development Services Department announced that licensed contractors and owner-builders can submit qualifying applications through its EnerGov/CSS online portal and receive expedited permits without traditional plan reviews. The expansion targets two common home improvement projects while allowing city employees to focus on more complex development applications. Projects must still comply with the Florida Building Code and Cape Coral’s Land Development Code, and required inspections remain in place. The expanded service is available now.
