Cape Coral City Manager Michael Ilczyszyn’s contract was updated Sept. 25 after City Council approved his request to apply a planned raise toward health insurance instead of salary.

After favorably reviewing Cape Coral City Manager Michael Ilczyszyn’s performance, City Council on Sept. 25 updated his annual contract to reflect his request that a planned 7.25% bump in pay go instead toward his family health insurance benefits. That leaves his base salary at $314,204.80 or the same amount as when he started the job. The City Council hired Ilczyszyn on Sept. 6, 2023, for a four-year term ending on Sept. 19, 2027. His other benefits include a mobile telephone allowance and a $1,000 per month vehicle allowance. Council reviews his performance each year.
