Collier Community Foundation awarded $10,000 to Naples-based St. Matthew’s House to support food assistance programs serving Southwest Florida residents facing food insecurity. The funding will help provide meals to shelter and addiction recovery residents, operate soup kitchens and stock a grocery-style pantry offering fresh produce, proteins and other staples. St. Matthew’s House distributed more than 2 million meals over the past 12 months. During that period, the nonprofit also helped 741 people transition from homelessness into housing, assisted 681 individuals in securing or maintaining employment and supported 1,253 people through addiction recovery programs.
