Owen-Ames-Kimball and Hendry County School District officials celebrated the groundbreaking of a new LaBelle High School campus on Helms Road in LaBelle. The $123 million project will include a 220,000-square-foot campus designed for about 1,500 students and replace the existing high school built in the 1970s. Plans call for modern classrooms, career and technical education spaces, athletic facilities and enhanced safety features. Construction management is being led by Owen-Ames-Kimball in partnership with Grace Design Studios LLC and Rock Enterprises LLC. The new campus is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
