The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife opened its $3 million Harkey Sea Turtle Complex on Sanibel Island, replacing a facility destroyed by Hurricane Ian. The 2,620-square-foot center features larger rehabilitation tanks, advanced filtration and climate systems, and integrated cameras to support treatment, research and education. It is the only licensed sea turtle rehabilitation center between Sarasota and the Florida Keys. Owen-Ames-Kimball served as construction manager on the project, which enhances care for injured and endangered sea turtles and supports the island’s recovery.
