David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health received a $25,000 grant from The League Club to expand services for children and teens receiving behavioral healthcare. The funding will support music and art therapy, fitness activities, yoga, guided meditation and animal-assisted therapies with horses and dogs. The grant also will strengthen language interpretation services for young clients and families with limited English proficiency, helping them understand treatment recommendations and participate in care decisions. David Lawrence Centers provides mental health, addiction recovery, emergency, prevention, virtual care and youth services across Southwest Florida. The nonprofit serves about 8,000 people annually through more than 331,000 treatment sessions.
