Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in North Naples ranked sixth on the 2026 Top 10 Beaches in the U.S. list from Dr. Beach, the annual ranking by Stephen P. Leatherman, a professor at Florida International University. The Collier County beach at 11135 Gulfshore Drive was one of three Florida beaches to make the list, along with St. Andrews State Park in Panama City at No. 2 and Caladesi Island State Park in Dunedin/Clearwater at No. 3. Poipu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii, ranked first. Leatherman evaluates 650 public beaches using 50 criteria, including water and sand quality, safety and management.
