Floor & Decor Outlets of America is set to build a new outlet store along Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. City Council members at their Sept. 17 meeting approved a zoning change for two parcels in the northeast Cape at 2800 NE Pine Island Road and 1481 Barrett Road that will allow the flooring and tile chain to create a new facility there. The change rezones the property from its old Lee County Commercial Planned Development to the Cape’s Commercial Corridor zone because the parcels, measuring about 8 acres, were previously county land. Cape Coral annexed them into the city on July 16. Cape’s Hearing Examiner and city planning staff also approved the changes.
