Florida gas prices 9.22.25

Florida gas prices jumped last week, rising to $3.20 per gallon Sept. 18 before easing to $3.12 by Sept. 20.

Florida drivers saw gas prices climb sharply last week, with the state average jumping from $2.95 per gallon Sept. 14 to $3.20 by Sept. 18 before easing to $3.12, according to data from AAA. Analysts said these 20- to 25-cent swings have become routine, typically following a pattern of gradual decline and sudden rebound. Since September 2024, Florida’s average has fluctuated between $2.92 and $3.23. Despite the latest increase, wholesale fuel costs remain stable, suggesting no major shifts in the broader market. On Sept. 22 in Southwest Florida, Charlotte County had the lowest average gas price at $3.02 per gallon, followed by Lee County ($3.10) and Collier County ($3.18).
