Fort Myers Beach lands 2027 Parrot Head convention

Fort Myers Beach will host the 2027 Meeting of the Minds convention and music festival Oct. 20-24, bringing Jimmy Buffett fans from across the country to the island. Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach will serve as the host hotel. The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce began pursuing the event in 2022, but Hurricane Ian interrupted those efforts. Chamber President and CEO Jacki Liszak said the convention will attract visitors, support local businesses and showcase the island’s recovery. The annual gathering, organized by Parrot Heads in Paradise, features live music and activities celebrating Buffett’s music and coastal lifestyle.
