Fort Myers-based Southern Paving & Milling has acquired Carolina Site, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based commercial paving and pavement maintenance company, expanding its operations across the Southeast. The transaction closed in September, although financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1996, Carolina Site provides asphalt paving, concrete, milling, striping and maintenance services throughout the Carolinas. The combined companies employ nearly 200 people and operate across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Carolina Site President Craig Gannaway will become co-president of Southern Paving & Milling and retain an ownership stake. The acquisition follows Southern Paving & Milling’s 2025 partnership with private investment firm 5th Century Partners.
