Financial advisor Norman Halverson presents a new 401(k) retirement program for small-business members of the Greater Fort Myers and Sanibel-Captiva chambers of commerce during a recent chamber function.
The Greater Fort Myers and Sanibel-Captiva chambers of commerce introduced a retirement savings benefit designed to help small-business members offer employee 401(k) plans at lower costs. Effective Oct. 1, the Employer Aggregation Program uses collective purchasing power to provide pricing typically available to larger employers. Participating businesses receive individual 401(k) plans with professional investment management, fiduciary support, recordkeeping and administrative oversight. The chambers selected Northwestern Mutual as their preferred financial services provider and Voya Financial as plan recordkeeper. Chamber President and CEO John Lai said the program aims to help smaller employers compete for workers by making retirement benefits more affordable and accessible.
