Florida SouthWestern State College restructured its School of Health Professions into the School of Nursing and the School of Allied Health to strengthen health education and meet workforce needs across Southwest Florida. The School of Nursing, led by Susan Holland, will focus solely on nursing programs, while the School of Allied Health, led by new dean Mary Catherine Faust, will oversee programs such as dental hygiene, medical assisting, physical therapist assistant and radiologic technology. Faust brings extensive leadership experience from Life University, where she launched academic programs and led accreditation efforts. School officials said the restructuring allows FSW to expand partnerships with health care providers and offer more tailored support for students pursuing careers in high-demand health fields.
