Hendry schools add employee health clinics

Hendry County School District is adding a health benefit giving eligible insured employees and their families access to Hendry Regional clinics beginning Oct. 1. Employees can receive care at the Hendry Regional Convenient Care Center, 450 S. Main St. in LaBelle, and the Dr. James D. Forbes Family Care Center, 500 W. Sagamore Ave. in Clewiston. Covered services with little to no copay include primary and wellness care, sick visits, laboratory services, most X-rays, cardiology and orthopedic care. The benefit also includes pharmacy services and workplace prescription delivery. The district, which employs about 1,000 faculty and staff, said the partnership is designed to improve access to care while supporting employee health, retention and recruitment.
