The Plantation Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers was sold to Heritage Golf Group for $18.5 million.

Heritage Golf Group purchased The Plantation Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers, a mile east of Interstate 75 off Treeline Avenue, from Hampton Golf for $18.5 million as part of a $45.5 million acquisition of three private Florida courses. The Virginia-based company, which now owns 46 clubs nationwide including 12 in Florida, said it plans early capital improvements. The Plantation’s 18-hole course was designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, with its clubhouse, The Great House, featuring dining and event spaces. Hampton Golf President MG Orender said Heritage was “the ideal fit” to ensure the club’s long-term success.
