The headquarters of Hertz Global Holdings Inc. in Estero.
Estero-based Hertz Global Holdings announced its Oro Mobility fleet management business secured an $80 million equity investment led by Cohen Private Ventures. The investment establishes Oro as a standalone growth platform focused on rideshare rentals, driver-operated fleets and autonomous vehicles. Oro currently manages approximately 45,000 vehicles across major U.S. markets. The funding will support fleet expansion, technology development, operational infrastructure, hiring and strategic partnerships. Hertz will retain majority economic ownership of Oro while continuing to provide fleet and corporate services. Other investors include funds or accounts affiliated with Certares Opportunities and Knighthead Capital Management. The investment is part of Hertz's strategy to diversify beyond traditional car rentals as demand grows for professionally managed transportation fleets and emerging autonomous mobility services nationwide.
