Immokalee High School will dedicate its football field and auditorium in honor of two longtime educators during ceremonies Oct. 23 and 24. The football field will be named John Weber Field during halftime of Friday’s game, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Weber coached the Indians from 1998 to 2007, leading the school to its only state football championship in 2004. The auditorium will be named for Linda Ayer during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday. Ayer served as athletic director from 1994 to 2011 and founded the school’s Beta Club. She has worked with Immokalee students and families for more than four decades.
