Lee County will celebrate the opening of the Three Oaks Parkway Extension with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Nov. 2, south of the new Fiddlesticks Boulevard intersection in south Fort Myers. The project extends Three Oaks Parkway across Fiddlesticks Canal to Daniels Parkway, completing a north-south corridor intended to relieve traffic on Interstate 75. The four-lane divided roadway includes bicycle lanes, sidewalks and a roundabout providing access to the nearby Publix shopping center. Although the extension will open to motorists, additional paving, striping and intersection improvements will continue. Final project completion is expected in early 2027, ahead of the original mid-2028 schedule.
