Lee Health opened a new Advanced Heart Failure Center at the Lee Health Heart Institute at HealthPark Medical Center in south Fort Myers, expanding access to highly specialized cardiac care in Southwest Florida.
The center includes an advanced heart failure ambulatory clinic and a dedicated 27-bed inpatient unit designed to treat patients with complex and late-stage heart conditions who previously may have needed to travel outside the region. Services include advanced therapies, such as inotropic infusions, care for patients with left-ventricular assist devices and heart transplants, and treatment for rare cardiac diseases including cardiac amyloidosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
The multidisciplinary program also incorporates remote patient monitoring, coordinated discharge planning and outpatient follow-up to support continuity of care close to home.
