Naples Comprehensive Health has partnered with Publix Pharmacy to deliver discharge prescriptions directly to hospital patients before they return home. The optional Meds-to-Beds service launched Oct. 19 at NCH Baker Hospital, 350 Seventh St. N. in downtown Naples, and will expand Nov. 2 to NCH North Hospital, 11190 Health Park Blvd. in North Naples. Publix Pharmacy representatives coordinate with hospital staff to fill eligible prescriptions, resolve insurance or affordability concerns and deliver medications to patients' bedsides. Pharmacists also provide medication counseling when needed. The service carries no additional delivery fee, and patients can continue using their preferred pharmacies after discharge. Prescriptions are processed through patients' existing insurance coverage.
