Cape Coral-based Starwood Pet Travel reports corporate demand for pet relocation services has nearly quadrupled over the past five years as more employers add the benefit to relocation packages. The company said inquiries from corporate employees rose from 1,163 in 2019 to 4,545 in 2024 and remained above 4,500 in 2025, with 2026 on pace to set another record. Benchmarking data from mobility consulting firm AIRINC found 49% of employers now cover pet relocation costs in some form, up from 37% in 2022. Starwood officials said higher education, technology, energy, professional services and construction companies generate the most requests, reflecting growing recognition that relocating pets can influence employees' willingness to accept job assignments.
