Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida received a $15,000 grant from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to create a new sensory room at its Fort Myers campus. Designed to provide a safe, calming environment, the room helps children affected by trauma, developmental challenges or sensory processing needs. Suncoast staff also volunteered to help prepare the space, which features soft lighting, tactile toys and soothing sounds. The room will serve both children in therapy and CAC team members seeking a quiet place to recharge.
