Fort Myers-based Sunset Air and Home Services transitioned to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, enabling team members to earn shares in the company over time and promoting ownership and shared success. The plan officially launched Oct. 28 and includes a retirement benefit as part of Sunset Air’s compensation package. Company officials said the move strengthens recruiting efforts in a tight labor market while affirming the company’s independence from outside investors.
