Thrive Academy celebrates Cape Coral campus expansion

Students, families, staff and community supporters participate in an Oct. 20 ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating Thrive Academy’s expanded campus in southwest Cape Coral. The private school, operated by Family Initiative, serves students with autism in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Thrive Academy, a private school serving students with autism, celebrated the opening of its expanded campus Oct. 20 at 3221 Chiquita Blvd. S. in southwest Cape Coral, near Gleason Parkway. Operated by nonprofit Family Initiative, the school has increased its enrollment capacity and added space for educational and therapeutic services. The renovated campus also provides applied behavior analysis and occupational therapy services to families whose children are not enrolled at the school. Founded in 2022 as a private microschool, Thrive Academy serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Family Initiative purchased the campus in 2024 and expanded its facilities to accommodate additional students, teachers and staff.
