The annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk will begin at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 12 at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers to support the nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families. More than 650 people of all ages are expected to participate in the local event. A ceremony featuring bagpipers will precede the 5K. Food and merchandise vendors will be on hand as well. Proceeds from the event support Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s programs.
