Youth Haven received a $153,000 grant from the Naples Children Foundation to expand behavioral health services for children and teens in Collier County. The funding will be distributed over two years through the foundation’s Registered Intern Workforce Pilot and support a registered intern, qualified supervisor and professional development toward licensure. The pilot aims to increase services for children while addressing a shortage of licensed behavioral health professionals in Southwest Florida. Naples Children Foundation is investing $2 million over two years to support 17 registered interns through partnerships with six nonprofits and Florida Gulf Coast University. Youth Haven serves abused, neglected and homeless children and teens ages 6 to 21.
