Youth Haven received a $25,000 grant from The League Club to replace an aging van used to transport children and teens in its care. The nonprofit, which serves as Collier County’s only emergency and residential shelter for abused and neglected youth ages 6 to 21, will use the new seven-seat vehicle to ensure safe, reliable transportation to school, medical appointments, jobs and community activities. The funding, part of more than $762,000 in grants awarded by The League Club this year, will also reduce repair costs and improve efficiency, allowing Youth Haven to direct more resources to essential programs.
