Thirteen graduating high school seniors from Lee County were awarded $5,000 scholarships to pursue trade and technical careers, thanks to a partnership between The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation. Since its founding in 2012, the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation has awarded nearly $10 million in grants, including more than $1 million in scholarships. The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools works with business and community leaders to enhance the quality of public education for students and educators. It administers the vocational scholarship program funded by the SWCF.
