Four weeks into the complete closure of the Caloosahatchee Bridge in Fort Myers, Florida Department of Transportation officials said the project is 212 days ahead of schedule. Crews demolished and replaced most of the median bridge deck. A new traffic rail rebar and northbound guardrail posts have been installed. Most concrete pours are about finished, officials said. The entire project is expected to be completed by December or early 2025, weather permitting.
