Collier County Water Sewer District will implement rate changes for water, wastewater, irrigation quality water and wholesale potable water services. Rate increases of 9% for water, 9.5% for sewer and 9.5% for irrigation quality water will take effect Jan. 1, 2024, and will be reflected in the February bill. Public Utilities Finance Director Joe Bellone said the rate changes are necessary because of a rise in operating and maintenance costs, along with continued investment in capital repair and rehabilitation projects. The cost to a residential customer with a three-quarter-inch meter and usage of 5,000 gallons of water will be $50.43 for water service, representing an increase of $4.18 per month. Residential customers with a three-quarter-inch meter and usage of 5,000 gallons will pay $78.22 for sewer service, representing an increase of $6.78 per month.
