Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille reopened Friday on Sanibel Island. Owner Joe Harrity said staff worked together outside their comfort zones over the last four months to make the reopening a reality after the restaurant took on 6 to 8 inches of water during Hurricane Ian. While Doc Ford’s on Captiva permanently closed, Harrity said the Fort Myers Beach location won’t be reopened for another couple of months, WINK News reports.
