The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Commissioners approved a six-month extension for Staybridge Suites, 2465 Second St. The project will consist of a five-story, limited-service, extended-stay facility, which will have a total of 100 rooms. Amenities will include kitchenettes, a pool, meeting space and outside social amenity areas. The approved extension will now make the project’s new commencement date July 1, 2024, and completion Jan. 31, 2027. This second extension request was approved in a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Darla Bonk dissenting. The first extension was granted April 1, 2023.
