Estero-headquartered car rental company Hertz reported an adjusted net income of $126 million in the first quarter of 2023, according to an earnings report. This marked a 69% decline when compared to the first quarter of 2022. Revenue for the quarter was $2 billion, a 13% year-over-year increase. Transaction days, or the number of 24-hour periods that vehicles were rented, increased 10% year over year while average fleet was up 5%. Monthly revenue per unit in the quarter was $1,409, a 7% year–over–year increase.
