Florida welcomed a record-breaking 143 million visitors in 2024, a 1.7% increase over the previous year, according to the latest state-provided data. The total included 130.65 million domestic travelers, 8.94 million overseas visitors and 3.41 million Canadians.
Gov. Ron DeSantis also announced 41.2 million visitors in the first quarter of 2025. First quarter highlights include 37.9 million domestic visitors, up 0.2% year over year; 2.1 million overseas travelers; and 1.2 million Canadian tourists.
Florida’s airports saw 29.4 million enplanements, with Punta Gorda, St. Petersburg–Clearwater and Daytona Beach leading growth.
Hotel performance improved with a 2.4% rise in rooms sold, a 2.2% increase in average daily rate to $227.22 and 75.7% occupancy.
