Final production totals for Florida’s 2023-24 avocado harvest are expected to come in at 21,235 metric tons, according to data from the Avocado Administrative Committee of Florida. That represents a 6.6% decrease in production volume from the 2022-23 season. The industry in Florida, with a season that generally stretches from June to December, has about 300 growers, primarily located in the southern part of the state, including Collier County.
