Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency awarded a tax increment rebate up to $2.46 million to Jackson Street FTM Hotel LLC, which is developing a Homes2 Suites by Hilton at 1629 Jackson St. in downtown Fort Myers. The hotel is expected to have four to seven floors with 100 to 146 rooms. The CRA’s increment rebate program is a funding tool available to local governments to help spur economic development for projects providing community benefits, and which demonstrate a financial gap.
