The 15th annual Fort Myers Film Festival opens May 14 and runs through May 18. The event takes place at six local venues. It begins at 6 p.m. May 14 at Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers with the festival’s signature red carpet event, followed by a screening of John Biffar’s feature documentary “Curveballs,” about America’s only amputee baseball team. The festival’s screening schedule of 94 films will also take place at the Calusa Nature Center, Alliance for the Arts, Big Arts on Sanibel, IMAG History and Science Center and Babcock Ranch.
