GMA Architects & Planners completed design and construction administration for Shops at Del Mar, a 29,150-square-foot retail center in Cape Coral. Located at SW 10th Place and SW Pine Island Road, the plaza features four buildings with contemporary architectural elements, including large storefronts, covered walkways and staggered rooflines. Three freestanding buildings front Pine Island Road, while a larger anchor building sits at the rear of the site. Design elements include bump-outs, porches, flat awnings, textured facades and accent lighting. GMA Architects officials said the layout aims to enhance pedestrian access and create a visually engaging commercial destination.
