HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital hosted a steel beam signing event marking a milestone in the construction of the hospital’s third freestanding emergency room. The new, 10,820-square-foot emergency center, HCA Florida West Fort Myers Emergency, at 8919 College Pointe Court in Fort Myers, is a part of HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with full-service emergency services, including laboratory, X-rays, CT scanning and ultrasound. The freestanding emergency center is projected to open in fall 2024 and will be the second in Lee County. HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital opened its first Southwest Florida location, HCA Florida Cape Coral Emergency, in June 2022. This was followed by the June 2023 opening of HCA Florida Tamiami Trail Emergency in northern Charlotte County.
