Hodges University in Fort Myers announced its Workforce Readiness initiative, which seeks to help close the specific skills gap industries want their employees to have with training ranging from a few weeks to four months. Workforce Readiness is separated into online health care and corporate training. Online areas include insurance, real estate, robotics, EV Tech, automation, renewable energy, technology, criminal justice and software development. There are also computer programming boot camps. In the area of health care, Hodges University offers on-campus EMT training in seven weeks and one-campus foundations of dental assisting in six weeks. In corporate training, the school offers professional development courses and workshops in leadership, customer service, Microsoft Office and Quickbooks.
