Naples-based Hoffmann Family of Companies acquired Great Bend, Kansas-based custom semitrailer manufacturer Doonan Specialized Trailer LLC, company officials said. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Doonan established a network of more than 57 dealer locations across North America. The Doonan acquisition expands Hoffmann’s presence in the transportation sector, building on the 2021 purchase of Texas Bragg Trailers, based in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Mike Ruddle, vice president of operations at Doonan, and Kelly Zecha, national dealer manager/application specialist, will both continue to play pivotal roles before and after the deal closes, company officials said.
