Lee County Sheriff’s Office is enhancing its security measures with the help of a state-of-the-art drone. A nearly $400,000 grant from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement allowed the department to acquire the advanced technology stationed at its 2nd Precinct at 1301 Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres. This drone is the first in a 12-month roll-out program, with plans to deploy more drones throughout Lee County, WINK News reports.
