OptimaEd, which specializes in traditional and virtual learning, is opening a tuition-free public charter school in Estero with classes set to begin in fall 2023. The academy at 17660 Corkscrew Road is a school delivering a classical education model and the liberal arts and sciences Hillsdale College curriculum. Starting with K-8 in its inaugural 2023-24 academic year, the school plans to add grades each year to reach 12th grade. The academy is managed by OptimaEd under contract with the Lee County School District. It is open to all children regardless of income or location. The fifth brick-and-mortar classical school opened by OptimaEd will feature a state-of-the-art school facility, sports fields and a gymnasium.
