The Red Sox Foundation will host its 13th annual Swings for the Sox golf tournament on October 11 at Tiburón Golf Club’s Gold Course, 2620 Tiburón Drive in North Naples. A scramble format with prizes for the longest drive, putting, closest to the pin and more will begin at 8:30 a.m. after registration at 7:15 a.m. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Lee County Red Sox Scholarship program. Each year, the Red Sox Foundation awards a $5,000 college scholarship to one deserving student from each of the public high schools in Lee County and one student from a Lee County charter and ALS school for 16 scholarships worth $80,000.
