Roberto Clemente Park is undergoing a $1.7 million renovation, bringing significant upgrades to the location in the heart of the Dunbar community. Renovations include a new playground and amphitheater, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. While the city of Fort Myers is not installing a canopy directly over the playground, shaded areas will be incorporated around it, and existing trees providing shade will be preserved. State Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka secured a $1 million state appropriations grant to support the renovations, WINK News reports.
