The median sales price for condos in Cape Coral was up 6.5% year-over-year in January, bucking a trend of declining prices in Florida’s six most populous metro areas, according to a report from technology-powered real estate brokerage Redfin. While the median condo sales price in Cape Coral was $350,000, sales decreased in the city by 8.4%, pending sales were down 16.4% and new listings increased 32.6%, the report states. In the Jacksonville metro area, the median condo price declined roughly 7% year-over-year in January to $254,000, sales declined 27% and new listings increased 32%. The story is similar in Miami, where condo prices fell 3% to $385,000, sales dropped 9% and new listings rose 27%.
